this is a mix of mistakes and opinions, feel free to fix what you think its wrong

  1. pag 4: envío múltiple “multiple dispatch”->(need to check for better translation)
  2. pag 5: Si desea tner Julia -> Si desea tener Julia
  3. pag 7: Input/Entrada -> Entrada/Input
  4. pag 8: Julia REPL (Read–Eval–Print Loop) -> add a spanish translation of REPL (Leer-Evaluar-Imprimir-Repetir for example)
  5. pag 9: El última línea es un prompt que indica que el REPL -> El última línea es un indicador, señalando que el REPL.
  6. change:: prompt -> indicador
  7. pag 9: sentencia de impresión -> declaracion de impresión
  8. pag 10: es una cadena (string en inglés), llamada así -> es una cadena de caracteres (string en inglés), llamada así
  9. change cadena -> cadena de caracteres (or "texto")
  10. pag 11: En química, H_2O es. ->En química, H₂O (or latex if possible)
  11. pag 12: a menudo hace unuso excesivo de palabras ->(need to check for better translation)
  12. pag 12: Literalidad - the phrase used doesn't have a direct spanish translation
  13. pag: 26: ¿a qué hora llega a casa -> ¿A qué hora llega a casa (check uppercase after ¿)
  14. pag 29: incluso llamadas a función -> incluso llamadas a funciones
  15. pag 30: imprimirletras -> imprimir letras
  16. pag 34: chao -> adiós
  17. pag 50: que había un código similar en arco y poligono, por lo que lo "factorizamos" enpolilinea. (refactorización -> (there is something wrong there, fix the parentheses?)

Thanks! This is very helpful. If no one else does, I'll make a PR on this next week and get one of the native Spanish speakers to review it.

The PR with associated pdf addresses the items above except that the following items would need to be handled in a future PR

  • I did not change all instances of "cadena" to "cadena de caracteres" though I did change the first instance. A full change seems like it would be a bigger job.
  • I did not change "sentencia de impresión" into "declaracion de impresión" since that would imply that I should change all the other places where "statement" is translated as "sentencia" into "declaracion". Again, a full change seems like a bigger job.
  • I believe "imprimirletras" on p 30 is the name of the function defined just above the text. It's now displayed in a monospace font to help identify it as a function name. I changed other places in the first two chapters to show a monospace font; I guess this should be done in all chapters.

Ohh, there isn't proper monos pace annotations? I could do that

Sure, you're welcome to look at adding syntax to give appropriate mono-space fonts in the PDF. In the small ascidoc code fragment below, the first line gives monospace fonts only in the HTML output, while the second gives monospace in both HTML and PDF.

Normaltext in PDF: +imprimirletras+
Monospace in PDF: `imprimirletras`

There is still at least one thing to figure out. Apparently the "π" character sometimes has problems in the monospace font, so the following doesn't render appropriately in the PDF and I left it with pluses.
