Description:
You have submitted your CFP (Call for Proposal) entry for an upcoming tech conference/meetup. Your topic has been chosen to be delivered as a tech talk. Now what?
This workshop will cover best practices on delivering a tech talk - from selecting a topic, planning the content, to presenting your topic.
Participants would also get a chance to put the tips learnt into practice by delivering bite-sized versions of their chosen topic. Presentations would be evaluated by the instructor.
As space is limited to 15 persons, please indicate only if you can really make it and have at least 1 tech talk topic in mind.
Objectives:
- Learn the "12 o'clock" speech-making process
- Practise presenting short versions of their chosen topic
- Receive evaluation of presentations
Materials: Participants need to bring their laptops.
Please prepare content for your tech talk (approx. 1.5 min-long)
(Optional) Any items that might support your presentation
