FFX: Gamepad shortcuts mapping (DS4 Controller) Not Working

I installed Untitled Project X for the first time a couple of hours ago, and am fiddling with it to try and get the gamepad shortcuts to work, so I won't have to reach over to my keyboard constantly (big effort, right? :))
Anyway, it seems not to work, and when I open the Special K's menu (Ctrl+Shift+K) to remap it, the remapping option does not respond, and it seems that only the actual game (steam) recognizes my DS4, and not the Untitled Project X mod on top of the game.

What to do?
