PLF10 came with 2.063y firmware. Unable to update ESPHome but latest available on site is 2.052

Any reason not to use 2.052? What was added in 2.063 and anywhere to get it to stay current?

You can use 2.052. I think it's fine. If you want to stay very current you can install ESPHome dashboard and compile a new binary that way. But just staying on the latest release is fine. Nothing much has been added or changed.
