The maven plugin on which our release script is built is scheduled to be removed in Gradle 7.0. Time to move to the (gag) maven-publish plugin instead, somehow, while still remembering to ship code AND sources AND javadoc artifacts, all properly signed.

Looks like https://github.com/vanniktech/gradle-maven-publish-plugin takes the sting out of it; let's look here first.
