Feature: Expose Algolia Index to enable customization

Motivation

Features of Algolia like Synonyms and Rules require access to the Algolia index object, which is currently not public in this library.

Proposed solution

Ideally the index would be exposed publicly in the library or a hook would be provided during initialization which gives access to the index.
