[BUG] Mod Uses More GPU than Without.

Mod Loader
Fabric
Minecraft Version
1.20.4
What Happened?
The mod claims that it will stop rendering the game and optimise the game for better PC performance. However, when I enable the mod, for some reason it uses more GPU than without. From 40-47% GPU usage to 60-67% GPU usage. There are no changes to CPU or RAM.
What Should Happen?
It should decrease from my normal GPU usage. Instead it increases.
Steps to Reproduce
- Load Minecraft 1.20.4 with a Fabric Loader (v0.15.11) with the mod installed Tape Stop.
- Create a single player world (can be anything, superflat is convenient for a faster world loading).
- Unfocus and Focus the game while Task Manager is in your screen to see the activity increasing in your GPU usage.

Anything Else?
I used more mods than just Tape Stop, is shown in the video that I had Sodium, Mod Menu, Indium and Lithium. But I doubt this would change its behavior.
I'm looking for a way to deprecate this mod - its implementation is clumsy, and as you've mentioned, it can't even reduce CPU usage in some cases. I plan to work on a new mod which focuses on real hacks of reducing stale rendering costs. Therefore this mod probably won't receive further updates, and the best solution for now is maybe just to remove it.
The rotating grass block looks cool, but on some slower platforms it may take even more resources to render. And that may be the cause.

a shame, i really liked this mod. looking forward to what you come up with in the future!
