Description:
To provide users and potential contributors with a clear, engaging, and comprehensive overview of our project, we should consider revamping the graphical layout and content structure of our README. This will not only enhance its visual appeal but also improve readability and ease of navigation.
Tasks:
๐๏ธ Design Overhaul: Consider introducing consistent headers, sub-headers, bullet points, and other markdown features to enhance content hierarchy.
๐จ Graphical Elements: Add relevant icons or images to sections like "Getting Started", "Usage", "Contribution", etc. This can make the README more engaging.
๐ก Interactive Demos: If feasible, embed GIFs or images showcasing the tool's primary functionalities. This gives readers an immediate sense of the tool's capabilities.
๐ Include Visual Metrics: Integrate badges for build status, code coverage, latest release version, and other relevant metrics to offer immediate insights.
๐ Content Rearrangement: Restructure the content to ensure that the most critical information (like installation and quick start) is at the top. Push detailed explanations or developer-focused info towards the end.
๐ Internal Linking: Add a table of contents and ensure all sections are linked, so users can quickly navigate to the info they need.
โ๏ธ Documentation: Update any other associated developer or user documentation to reflect any changes made in the README.
Acceptance Criteria:
README has a fresh and modern visual appearance.
All sections are clearly delineated and easily navigable.
Key information is immediately noticeable and accessible.
README resonates well with the project's target audience, be they users or potential contributors.
We have added badges to read easily the most useful information.
Sections are clearly delimited.
