Well, disabling and re-installing fixed that issue for me.
I had a version form 2014 but DokuWiki never announced an update of the plugin. The Plugin page seems not to be up-to-date. Maybe this prevented a proper update? (I don't know how DokuWiki handles the upgrade of plugins.)

Ah, thanks for warning! I updated the date such that the Extension Manager should see this update as well.
