Closing last diff panel freezes extension

If the last diff panel is closed the extension doesn't work anymore. Only a restart of vs code solves the problem.

Fix is in the making. I found the line which causes the issue. Now I have to figure out the reason.

Extension has been fixed for VS Code 1.96. New version is out now.
