Why all this rigamarole. Just find the spot that is equidistant from the most extreme locations of relatives. These places appear to be Beaufort, Chicago, and Wyandanch. This ends up with a circle of about 422 miles radius centered near Duck or Strange Creek, WV. This means no one will have to travel more than 422 miles as the Duck flies. By the way if everyone in the Lower 48 decide to get together Rodney, Iowa will be the place to be.
