Any chance we could get this published up on maven central like https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.lwjglx/lwjgl3-awt ?

For non-snapshot versions that are being pushed to the releases endpoint, yes. Maven central does not have snapshots.

Or to put it another way: We could just start publishing actual release versions by simply changing the "version" tag in the pom.xml to a non-snapshot version. If you'd like that.

Alright. Version 1.0.0 is now scheduled for release to Maven Central. This would usually only take about half an hour or so.
