Improve handling of errors from network issues

Investigate if network issues related to EOF are related to connection timeouts and whether we can automatically retry those.

Hmm, I'm wondering... do you have a restricted network connection. That last log indicates that perhaps I'm too strict with the connection timeouts 🤔

@kalekad I have published a new release which has "saner" timeout values and it should also address the issue of the accounts getting stuck. There's still no automatic re-try of timed-out network but should at least be a better experience.
