Describe the bug
Loading a directory with no .omf or .odt files initiates an infinite (?) progress bar loop. After manually closing the progress bar window, the add widget button becomes greyed out and unclickable.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Choose File -> Load directory
  2. Try to load a directory without any .omf or .odt files
  3. The progress bar window appears, it keeps looping even if I wait for several minutes. Also the console indicates "Invalid Directory" error
  4. After I close the progress bar window, the add widget button becomes greyed out and unclickable
