Place Anywhere option doesn't seem to work

I'd like to merge two objects together for housing purposes, but whenever I attempt to place it using rotate it snaps out of place once I finish and reverts to it's initial positioning. Here are images that show what happens.

There is a limitation on how much you need to move an object to float or sink it into the ground. I would suggest looking at the pinned comments in the Discord to get a reference. It's a limitation with the game, nothing I can do.
