Request: differentiated frame ranges with multiple comp render
Opened this issue · 2 comments
What exactly do you want us to add?
One of the great features of AERenderLauncher is to render simultaneously several comps. Unfortunately these must be of the same length... there is no frame range option PER comp : it would be great to be able to have as many frame ranges as there are comps.
(Optional) If possible attach some concept artworks of your feature

Maybe possible to "read" the frame range from the project?
Reading something from the project without After Effects itself being opened is not possible, since .aep
is just a binary file (which is a little bit weird, since Premiere Pro projects is a compressed .xml
files). Either way, I don't know a way to read .aep
without inventing After Effects anew, so I made a script to export some of project details, required for rendering.
But making different frame spans for each composition surely is possible. By the way, if you leave field Start Frame
and End Frame
empty, compositions in list will be rendered in-to-out. So, right now, you can predefine frame span in compositions themselves and in Launcher leave these fields empty.
ha! gotcha, no worries about this particular feature : I wasn't aware of default setting (black)
Probably what could help could be a check box that enables a specific frame range, to avoid confusion?
Thanks a million.
