UK/USA Date format data issues

On version 1.2021.1.4
Creating records with a custom datetime field. Set it to the value of 'Date', and in the dropdown, select Feb 9th 2021.
Clicked to generate records, and all generated successfully.
Went to check the records - the datetime field is set to Sep 2nd 2021.
