Feature Request: Translator can edit default-locale?

Opened this issue · 1 comments

Hi,

if I'm not mistaken: how come the translator role cannot edit translation values in the default locale?

Yes, it's not really "translating" but rather "changing" text.

Though it would be great if that feature was available.

Right now we are using the hack to set the default-locale to an unused language (i.e. zulu) making our default-language available for change by translators.

Cheers

Hi there,

Translators can only edit the languages you allowed them to work on, but in no case they can edit the default language. We chose to keep the two types of users separated, so translators and developers can focus on their job without interfering with one another.

You can always re-invite the user as a developer if you need him/her to edit the default locale. If you do, make sure you delete the translator from your project before reinviting him (A users's email can't be a login for both roles).

Cheers,
Julie
