You can move your site it three easy steps, see our handy guide here: https://dotnest.com/knowledge-base/topics/migrating-to-dotnest If you have further questions don't hesitate to ask.

As on why: because DotNest is the easiest way to use Orchard :-).

If I want to extend orchard web site with custom module, is it possible to do so. I am .net developed by profession.

One good advantage I can see is the support that I am getting :)

Thanks

You can't install custom modules on DotNest (see https://dotnest.com/knowledge-base/topics/limitations); basically you can't do any C# coding. However you can create your own themes, including writing templates in the Liquid templating language and having full control over the markup, JS and CSS. Would this be sufficient for you?

I'm glad :-).

I guess, it should be enough. I am not planning on writing custom module. Let me see after I port it.
