Fail to reconfigure service channel (IF8) without reset the SX1302

After resetting the SX1302 and calling "lgw_start" from the HAL library, the Service channel(IF8) of the SX1302 works fine. I want to change the RX SF&BW of the service channel (IF8) without resetting the chipset. I call the "sx1302_lora_service_modem_configure" HAL function to change it, but it doesn't seem to work. It works fine on rare occasions, but most of the time RX seems to have stopped. The new SF&BW for RX is applied correctly only after resetting the chip and call "lgw_start".
Are there any other ways to reconfigure the service channel without reset?
