Question RX5808 signal voltage

Opened this issue · 3 comments

Hi there!

I found your project and yours is one of the few saying that the RX5808 signal voltage is 3.3v. The datasheet doesn't specify and the vcc nominal is 5v. Do you have any documentation confirming the signal is 3.3v?

Thanks!

Hi, can you point me to where it says that? It has been a while. Did you see that this a fork of another project?

Your project states:

Remember that since Arduino is 5v powered and the logic levels of the RX modules are 3.3v you need a level shifter (maybe better than mine!).

The RX5808 Datasheet does not mention logic level voltage, only that the module takes 5v nominal:

That said, for my own experimentation, I've found that the logic pins are much happier taking 3.3v. It would just be nice to find documentation that says so, and I'm curious how you knew for sure.

Ahh I see now. This is part of the original readme by the oled repo creator.
What is the nominal voltage you are measuring on the pins?
You could use this for reference.
