documentation tool does not export document

I cannot get a document to export using the documentation tool. It is looking for a folder and template that does not exist. It looks like I have to make the folder and template by hand, and that is not going to be a great answer for instructors trying to use Lumi. I also cannot find a way to maybe upload a folder with html and the folders and documents it needs to run. Please help. I can't recommend using documentation tool otherwise.
