Better MC [FORGE] - 1.19.2 v17 - Experience Issue

Describe the Bug
We are having an issue where the xp from the mobs aren't always dropping. Didn't know if this was something within the mod pack or what. We have been trying to use mending but we will only get 3 experience from them or none at all, which is most of the time the case. We have a zombie xp farm and you are lucky to get experience from 1 out of 5 zombies.

This seems like vanilla behavior, but I believe you when you say it isn't.
I am unsure what is causing this, and it is not directly intended. It could be the Clumps mod.
At the same time - we have no interest in making mob farms work as intended, as mob farms are already exploiting vanilla behavior. You can't really expect that vanilla behavior to stay exactly the same when you have 200 mods installed.
