Installing Lightly from source causes KDE System Settings to crash due to "Segmentation fault"

Opened this issue · 8 comments

I was able to install it successfully, but when I tried to select it, KDE System Settings always crashed.
My distro is Gentoo, and Lightly looks like issue #156 in the Window Decorations menu

I can confirm this issue. This is also the case when trying to build the v0.4.1 tag instead of the most current version.

Can you post a backtrace?

Can you post a backtrace?

you're too late. I posted this 3 months ago already, and I've already replaced Gentoo with Arch a month or so ago.

Do you have a guide at hand with which I can access the backtrace?

If an application crash you usually get a dialog window showing some crash information. For more info: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

Having the same issue here.
Distro: Arch
Kernel: 6.3.4-arch1-1
Built lightly from aur package: lightly-qt

I'm using qt5ct
Launching it from application launcher (rofi) silently fails and from zsh fails with zsh: segmentation fault

@D3vil0p3r I just installed to test and did not have any crash. System Settings started fine. Switching back and forth between Lightly and Breeze seemed to work without crash, force close, freeze, etc. Using chaotic-aur/lightly-qt 0.4.1-1.
