im sorry to look like a complete dunce but i dont have visual studio and even if i did i dont know how to build things. my VR headset's coming in soon and ive been dreaming of this thing only to find out it was discontinued and i cant find a download link anywhere, only the link to the source here.

is there a download somebody has, preferably one that works with blender 2.90? (i noticed selection sensitivity in 3.0 to be... not sensitive enough as 2.9 and it really bugs me)

Hi @BrynnaDaRosa,
Here's a build I made for Blender 2.93.
Instructions: In Blender, click on [Window] → [New VR Window]
There is also a new "VR" section in the Blender preferences where you can manually set the headset and controller type.

If you're looking for something similar, you might want to check out Freebird XR. It's compatible with newer Blender versions (3.0+) and is actively being developed.

Hope this helps!

@pk15950 Thank you so much for doing this.

For the lurkers: I was able to jump in and model with my quest 2 over airlink with the 2.93 build that @pk15950 provided. I did try with virtual desktop and steamVR and that didn't work.

Modelling in 3d is truly an amazing experience... I thought it would be and once I got used to the controls, it blew my mind... I'm amazed Blender Foundation has let this one go to third parties to develop... It's basically lego on steroids.

You're doing gods work, I will give it a try as soon as Quest 3 is released.

Could you show us a video of your interaction ? I know Quest devices have a recording function.
