It's not really a problem, when you try to tab-complete in chat it suggests the real name not the nickname, so players can know your real name (even if you don't want that), but the tab-complete is working in commands (Example /tp) it suggests the nickname and that's good ;)

I would like to get this fixed by making tab-complete works everything and the only way to know the player identity is the /realname command, also you can disable it to make players identity unknown and that is a really good idea for SMP servers
There's really no elegant way to do this. It would mess with all other plugin's tab completion. I like the idea I'm just not sure it's something that'll work in HexNicks. I'll leave this open because I'd like to try again but this is not included in v2.2.0.
