96 web mentions are gathered at the bottom of the page. Many web mentions are missing in the search results.

Oh hey!
I'd pay attention to the Microformats2 markup in the class attributes. Microformats2 isn't really used for SEO, so leveraging that probably won't bias the engine towards commercial SEO spam. It's typically used by IndieWeb sites, which are more in line with the ethos of the project.
u-comment and h-cite Microformats that contain h-card children are good indicators of the presence of Webmentions on a page containing a rel="mention" endpoint.
