Prevent Translatable appending locale to a URL

Once this module is installed, how do you prevent the main translatable module from appending the locale (or -2) to the URL when using the same page name?

I have made a work around by creating a branch from translatable. https://github.com/tscole/silverstripe-translatable
And modifying the functions in Translatable.php to allow pages with the same URLSegment for different locales
