unit test coverage need to be more aggressive in the UI module

#47 proves that we lack unit test on the UI module (or what that module contains now).

We need to cover the UI features of this tool with tests for making sure that all the parameters inserted in the UI are managed properly.

we are good as of now, and since there is the plan to re-design the UI...
