PiPass with Raspberry Pi Zero and RedBear IoT pHAT?

I was wondering if anyone has tried or knows if it would be possible to run PiPass on a Raspberry Pi Zero using the RedBear IoT pHAT (there is also a link to their GitHub repository within this link) or if it is even possible? I'd love to give this route a shot since it is more affordable and has a smaller footprint, but I'm pretty new to the Pi.
