Navigating between tabs clears data; need a refresh to see changes.

In the gif, the snack starts out at 1.
We change it to 0, then switch tabs.
When we come back, the snack is still at 1.
We refresh the page, and the snack is at 0, where it should be.
Our changes are getting saved in the database, but the UI is losing track of them.

The gif doesn't capture the problem perfectly, sorry about that. You can see the bug on the live site if you follow those steps.
