UUID Field Not Showing on Front End

Apologies for the stupid question, but I wanted to display the UUID field on the frontend and it's not working (appearing blank).

To recap, what I did was:

  1. Installed the Add-On
  2. Assigned the add-on as a fieldtype in a channel
  3. Called that variable on the front-end
  4. Variable is blank but shows in backend

Am I missing something here?

Update: Figured out the issue; the UUID add-on doesn't generate when using Channel Forms. It must be done from the CP.
