Power Levels not monitoring blocks correctly

i've noticed that the texture on the Power Level block is not updating to reflect the power level of its input block - but it will update based on a block on a different side of it.
(note that i'm facing north in this screenshot)
however, this does not effect redstone output - that's pulling from the block as usual, it's just the number that's wonky.
This is based on the latest MultiWorkspace 1.16_tech build.
