Describe the issue

Hello,

Apologies for the bother, but I came across the "Model ID unknown, please report!" error while trying to install MechaPwn. Would it be possible to add support for this console?

Attached below is the NVRAM backup .bin file as well as the sticker photo.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello again, and thank you so much for your fast reply!

I'm happy to say that the new version is successfully able to identify my console!

That said, despite following the onscreen instructions, I am still unable to apply MechaPwn onto the console; the console version remains as SCPH-75005 after the installation regardless of whether I choose DEX or CEX (depsite reaching the "enjoy mechapwn" screen).

To clarify, I am currently using opentuna to access the mechapwn .elf file. I am also prompted at the start of the installation process that I do not have "multi install" installed on my console, but I have disregarded this message so far as I am not running FMCB.

I hate to bother you yet again but is there perhaps something that I am doing wrong that is causing the MechaPwn installer to not work? Any help would be much appreciated!

I am still unable to apply MechaPwn

In the latest version of mechapwn there is no visible changes when mechapwn is applied. You can check if it works only by trying to run burned disks, and such disks should work fine for you now.

latest version of mechapwn (3.0 RC4) doesn't change the model number, but the exploit is installed. you have to try a backup ps1 or ps2 game.

Hello, and apologies for taking so long to send a reply!

You're both right - despite no changes in shown console version, I am happy to say that the mod works perfectly as intended - I'm honestly a little ashamed I didn't bother to check before I came here to cry for help haha... oops!
I have yet to try my newly modded console with a non-NTSCJ disc, but seeing that backup burned discs are working without issue, I'm sure there won't be any problems with that either. (will post again if this turns out to be wrong, but let's hope that isnt the case!)

Regardless, thank you both so much for the assisstance, and thank you so much for creating this awesome mod! c:
