Mechapwn Ps2 PAL 50004 not working

I dont know if anyone can help me here.
I had a Ps2 50001 NTSC-U machine that i managed to change region on with mechapwn a year back. Sadly it got fried the other week because of a bad power supply.
Bougt a PAL machine 50004. Tried mechapwn and changed region, but it didnt play any import games. It just went back to the Memory Card/ Disc Browser
And from what i understand, Mechapwn 3.0 wont work with 50000 series at all. (used both older version at first)
Nothing i can do?
Im just so confused why 01 worked and not 04.
It's not possible to change region on 50k even with mechapwn help. It's also true for US consoles, but US consoles are region-free by design, so their bioses are not region locked.

You can change power supply on your 50001 model or buy a FMCB memory card!
