feature: use the app as a launcher - android

Using the app as a launcher could be helpful. App usage could be planned, like a digital well-being app.
As shortcuts can be created in the app, the app is almost like a launcher.
Sounds like a super long term concept. Can't say anything yet.
That's so outrageous. I love it! 😂
There are so many "minimalistic" launchers on fdroid. This could be the best one.
On the other hand, I don't think I want my apps near me when I'm working and immerse myself in the process.
If that were to happen would it be possible to have it as a separate option?
I'm fine with my current launcher and this app has been a blessing for my productivity

Yes, it will be optional.
It kind of already is. My personal opinion is there should only be a searchable list for some apps but, the shortcuts feature basically already is the launcher.
No need for an extra suite of tools, just one more page with a (fast;)) searchable list
The much easier way here is to create a "widget" which can be embedded into some very minimalist launcher (such as KISS).
You don't have to reimplement launcher features that way, just allow for the native embedding via the widget API.
The only downside seems to be that the widget can't use much of the gestures besides vertical swipe/scroll. Normal touch controls work fine though.
