Lunar 2: Resolution Bug after using an item

I found an odd bug - https://clips.twitch.tv/LaconicFurryFishArgieB8-55YayHQdpEio8IsQ shows it. In playing Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete on the PSX core, when using an item called "Jean's Bromide", it seems to switch the psx resolution into a different format (you'll see black bars around this part), but when you come out of the item, the resolution doesn't change back like it's supposed to, resulting in a resolution that has more black bars around it than it was previously. Watch the clip to see what I mean. Reloading the core fixes the resolution.
What is your video signal chain that you used for this capture?
I have the MiSTer connected via an HDMI cable to a 3-way HDMI splitter. This is connected via HDMI to the capture card (an Elgato HD60S+), which outputs to OBS via USB (which is how I captured this / streamed it). I’d also add that the capture card also has an output going directly to my Asus Gaming monitor (which is how I play the game).
Thanks! Mostly was wondering in case direct video was involved due to another issue I noticed with direct video to a scaler.
Do you have a savestate to load to reproduce this issue?
I can get you one, it happens any time you load any bromide in. Do you want me to discord it?
Would be better to zip and attach to a comment here. Discord storage can be ephemeral.
When you load it, look at how the screen looks, which will be normal. Then load any bromide - this state has 3 of them (in the items menu, and just use any one). Note the bottom in particular - it affects the whole image but on a monitor with just black background it's most noticeable here, the black bar, which wasn't there a second ago!
Resetting and then loading back into the game fixes it.
This is how the game works. It changes the video output for the Bromide but does not change it back again. This will also happen on original hardware.
Here is a video from original hardware. At 7:17:00 he opens the Bromide and then after that the screen is shifted up and when he goes back outside the screen is larger than before.
