Feature Enhancement - Intune Assignments view Filter

Opened this issue · 9 comments

The Intune Assignments feature is especially useful to find elements assigned to a particular group for example, but it does currently not support Intune Filters.

It would be great to have that addition.

Thanks for your hard work!

Hello!

Sorry for slow response.

What are you looking for here? Find where filters are assigned?

Cheers!

Hi,

slow? No there is no slow in an opensource pet project. Thanks for the time you spent helping me and others with this!

I wanted to create an overview of what exactly is assigned to a distinct group. Which is possible but you can't see if any filters are applied to the assignment.

I hope this cleared things up. Please excuse me if I am not precise.

Thx!

Hello

I updated the tool in 3.9.4. I hope all filter usage is listed now. Let me know if anything is missing.

Cheers!

Hi Micke,

Thank you for your continued work!!! Unfortunately, it still does not work completely.

If I understand the changelog correctly it should not be visible in Intune Assignments. That's the case:

When using the Intune Filter usage part, it shows only a few entries, and I can see some errors in the console

Hello,

The Assignment tool does not list filters. That is by design. I plan to add that one day but I have 1000 ideas to add :).

Did you download the new version I uploaded today?

I do not get any errors but I'll do some more tests and create some Mac policies. This is a bit tricky one. Even the portal fails on some filters eg Enrollment Restrictions policies.

Cheers!

Hi,

I am very sorry to hear that it is that complicated. Yes, I have updated this morning before posting here.

Hello,

I looked at the message on my phone yesterday so I didn't actually see what failed.
You can't run the New-Guid command which is weird.

Can you try with the attached file instead?

Cheers!

Thanks, this looks a lot better. No more errors in the console and a lot more entries in the list:
