Server crashes when same user disconnects twice

This happens when using the app via the same browser instance twice.
E.g. two tabs in the same window.

It seems like this is no longer the case. However, now there is a new issue where if you have opened the app in the same browser more than once, the user will disconnect on the first tab closing.
