Gloves do not give hero faster attack

Per this issue, #465, gloves should give our hero faster attack. Instead, it seems that the sword does this, rendering the glove no ability to enhance our hero's capabilities. :(
To recreate:
- Start game, slash, observe speed
- Using debug menu, add glove. Observe the same speed.
- Using debug menu, add sword, observe increased speed.
