Old solar system gets brought to new save

If you have a save (save 1), start a new game (save 2), then close the game, then load the save, you'll be in the solar system of save 1, with the ship from save 2. Mercs are untested.

Repro:

1. have some save data
2. Create a new save with a different number of systems (doesn't have to be, just makes it easier to see)
3. Exit the game using the home button
4. Select "continue"
