Note: This is NOT a full implementation of the Pinboard API. If you require more than just the ability to retrieve bookmarks, take a look at this package. This package is the subject of a tutorial on writing an NPM package which you can find here.

Usage

Create a new instance of Pinboard, passing your API token for authentication. One method exists on the returned object .bookmarks(), which accepts an object of arguments matching those allowed for the https://api.pinboard.in/v1/posts/all endpoint on Pinboard.

Example Usage:

import Pinboard from 'pinboard-bookmarks';

const pinboard = new Pinboard('<Your API Key>');

pinboard.bookmarks({ results: 5 })
.then((bookmarks) => {
  // bookmarks is an array of objects.
})
.catch((error) => {
  // handle any errors.
});

Development

If you wish to make changes, this package relies on Babel to compile its source. Clone the repo and run npm install, followed by npm run build. You can test the code by importing or require()ing the index.js file in the root of the repository.

Testing

This package includes a small suite of tests that rely on Jest. To run (and watch) tests, from your terminal call npm test.
