Abstract containing xml tags

The merged abstract contains some XML attributes and tags. I am not sure if this is needed or not.

For the goal of my project, I would prefer to avoid getting rid of these xml tags in a subsequent cleaning phase, but I do not know if this is a shared vision.

So, this may not be a true issue, just a consideration.
