Promote functionality of project on social media

We should promote the public interface of this project on social media. Here are the public interface methods and what social media posts are left to make:

  • type_2_scd_upsert
  • kill_duplicates (MrPowers)
  • drop_duplicates_pkey
  • drop_duplicates
  • validate_append
  • append_without_duplicates
  • delta_file_sizes
  • show_delta_file_sizes
  • humanize_bytes (MrPowers)
  • is_composite_key_candidate
  • find_composite_key_candidates (Souvik)
  • with_md5_cols (Souvik)

@robertkossendey - can you make a LinkedIn post on drop_duplicates_pkey?

@souvik-databricks - can you make a LinkedIn post on is_composite_key_candidate?

@MrPowers sure, do you have a template for the pictures that are always attached to your / Delta's posts on LinkedIn?
I would like to keep it in line with them.

@robertkossendey - I actually think it's best for you to develop your own style for this. That way the audience can get another take on the concepts. I'm sure your style will resonate better with some viewers.

Fine with me 👍

I will be making today the LinkedIn post @MrPowers

@souvik-databricks - now that you made the post, can you please update the checklist with a green check mark? Also, the post looks amazing!

Done updated @MrPowers I will make one more post Thursday on the with_md5_cols and I will this week also complete the dlq work

@robertkossendey I will get to the test case that you mentioned in the week after that.

@souvik-databricks sounds good! I will release my post tomorrow then.

Awesome @souvik-databricks. I added suggested names to the remaining posts just for tracking purposes.

Here is the drop_duplicates_pkey post.

@MrPowers I would like to create the post for show_file_sizes, but I realised that it is not released yet. Could we publish the latest changes to PyPi?

@robertkossendey - made a v0.3.0 release, see here: https://pypi.org/project/mack/0.3.0/

We still need a better publishing process, so you are also free to release at will and avoid getting blocked. Will try to figure out how to make a better process.

@MrPowers thank you! :)

@MrPowers we should probably keep the list up to date. I honestly don't know which functions we already added to the latest release and what we promoted on social media yet.

@MrPowers @robertkossendey I'm happy to do some posts on my Substack https://dataengineeringcentral.substack.com/ , if you have any particular features you want to shed more light on. I can also do some on my other website https://www.confessionsofadataguy.com/ , just let me know.
