Too many attributes imported.

I have online instance and manage multiple translations.
When I open the tool and selected an entity to export, I select to export the "Entity related option" and only in the language that I will update.
I exported in a separate file the Global OptionSet labels - again one language only.
I edited the Global Option Set file by removing all lines that I did not need.
Then I edited the entity (account) file so that only the following sheets are left:
- Attributes - all atributes on the entity (account) - with some edits on the languages
- Booleans - left only the rows that have been modified
- Form Tabs - left only the rows that have been modified
- Forms Sections - left only the rows that have been modified
Then selected the edited Global Optionset file in the Import translations tab and clicked "Import Translations". All went well. Published additionally in the application.
Then again in the "Import translations" tab I selected the entity specific file and selected the entity file that I had edited. Clicked import translations and all attributes started updating. Then the number of attributes started growing and went way above the nb of attributes that I have in the entity - up to 4368 attributes. See attached file.
Has anyone seen this issue before? What could be the reason? And what did exactly get updated?
It's not a bug but a misleading information. The number 4368 is the total amount of translations imported (label, description for each language I think). So for one attribute, you can have multiple translations
