Unfinished install the box

Opened this issue · 2 comments

I am a beginner of IIIIF and vagrant.
While installing ocacoke, I met some problems.

1.
When I tun vagrant up, it showed

Timed out while waiting for the machine to boot. This means that
Vagrant was unable to communicate with the guest machine within
the configured ("config.vm.boot_timeout" value) time period.

If you look above, you should be able to see the error(s) that
Vagrant had when attempting to connect to the machine. These errors
are usually good hints as to what may be wrong.

If you're using a custom box, make sure that networking is properly
working and you're able to connect to the machine. It is a common
problem that networking isn't setup properly in these boxes.
Verify that authentication configurations are also setup properly,
as well.

If the box appears to be booting properly, you may want to increase
the timeout ("config.vm.boot_timeout") value.

and failed.
I searched this question on line. It is said that I should enter the GUI and set someting. So I changed # vb.gui = true in the Vagrantfile of ocracoke.
Then there was another problem

There was an error while executing `VBoxManage`, a CLI used by Vagrant
for controlling VirtualBox. The command and stderr is shown below.

Command: ["startvm", "dfabe491-2b4a-4971-a7ce-c5a04916f525", "--type", "gui"]

Stderr: VBoxManage: error: The virtual machine 'ocracoke_default_1538040033642_99193' has terminated unexpectedly during startup because of signal 6
VBoxManage: error: Details: code NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005), component MachineWrap, interface IMachine

At last, I changed it back. I just ignored it and tried vagrant up many times.

2.
After trying vagrant upmany times,

was showed. I am not sure whether it was install. Should I install Solr for using of IIIF ? My target is to search the comments of pictures.

Sorry for so much questions. Thanks a looooooooot!

I installed Solr. But when I open http://localhost:8984, I got nothing. Solr works only on port 8983 and I cannot find ocracoke in core admin. Should I change Solr from 8983 to 8984?

Finally I entered the GUI, which shows the error is that

this kernel requires an x86-64 cpu but only detected an i686 cpu
This processor is unsupported in CentOS 7.

I checked the general settings, which is ubuntu 32bit version.
