bubbleplot vertical axis is green for some reason

I'm evaluating the SPOT desktop app v0.1.0 installed from debian package

steps to reproduce:

  1. loaded csv data with x y z random variables
  2. go to 'Analyze' view
  3. click on bubble plot
  4. drag variable x on x axis
  5. drag variable y on y axis

The y axis is now green ...looks like rgb(0,255,0)
Is this somehow related to the data bubbles? They are also green (but a markedly different shade).
