OpenMapTiles is out of date

Describe the bug
The current version of openmaptiles is from "planettime":"1499040000000"
7/3/2017. Most of the basemap layers such as building footprints, parks, transportation, labels, water, and landcover use it.

I think to update the openmaptiles basemap you need to replace the
north-america_us-northeast.mbtiles
in the https://tiles.planninglabs.nyc
or update the klokantech/openmaptiles-server
docker instance.
Maptiler's free tier (Non-commercial personal project) license might not be compatible and it is a bit out of date 2020-02-10 / Version: [v3.11]

Is there any other alternatives for mbtiles?
Hey @zhik! It was nice running into you the other day. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We just recently completed migrating this service to tileserver-gl (shout to @TangoYankee). We're aware that the tiles themselves are also in need of updating. We're hoping to set aside some time soon to explore creating our own batch of new tiles - perhaps with something like Planetiler - but don't have a timeline on that quite yet. We'll leave this issue open until we get some new tiles into production.
