Unable to point scanner to a mounted network drive

Pointing the scanner to a mounted network drive using a drive letter (N:\ for example) fails for the scanner, the scanner does not find any files and stops. Is there a special requirement to scan a network drive?

Fixed issue by instead of pointing to letter drive (N:) I pointed it to IP of the network drive (ie: -p \192.168.1.100\User\Document\Network Drive)
