Just a note that we should figure out how to stay up-to-date here. Currently pulling from a forked repo to handle any breaking changes; not sure if upstream is stable now

i think upstream should be stable, we will benefit from keeping up to date since aix has been doing a lot of work/bug fixes

there is also a minimal GUI version that was made for OVOS, might be worth checking out https://github.com/OpenVoiceOS/mycroft-embedded-shell

most of the GUI issues come from defective implemention in mycroft-core, not the GUI package itself

Makes sense; I think the main question here is a schedule or some automation to pull changes since we have trivial changes on our fork (icons, naming, etc.)
